Hello, my name is Taylor Martin and I am a sports addict.
Sports has been a part of my life for as long as I could remember. I was always an active kid, the type that liked to get her hands dirty and could never sit still. But as active as I was, I had a sharp distain for watching sports. My mother had her love of tennis while my father had his loves of football, basketball, and boxing. I didn't get what made watching people 'play' sports more fun than actually doing something. It also didn't help that they'd constantly change my favorite kids' shows for what ever tournament or match that was going on. My mother in particular did that the most and thus created my hatred for tennis.

Things began to change during the 2012 Summer Olympics when Serena Williams, fresh off of her Wimbledon singles and doubles victories, was in the finals of the tennis tournament. I was trying to sleep an ignore the match, but there was something about how she played and all the fanfare that was going on with my family that kept my attention.

Slowly but surely, I found myself watching more of her matches and eventually those of other players. Before I knew it, my heart was deeply invested into the sport and eventually made me realize that I that sports blogging was something I wanted to do. I found my way to basketball during the 2016 NBA Finals, when LeBron James finally won a ring for Cleveland, and an assortment of other sports through the Olympics and YouTube. I tweaked my professional goals a bit when I realized that journalism wasn't the profession for me and have decided to become a sports attorney to represent athletes and sports organizations. My love of writing is still here, but defending athletes is what I really want to do.
My badminton awards from high school! I was team captain and co-coach for my last two years of high school.

My Photos

Just a few of my photos from some tennis and basketball events. I've been to the US Open more time than I can count! And while I've been on campus, I've also made it a point to go to campus events such as Clash of the Quads and home sports games.
